Tinski Tech Inc was created to bring ATOM to the world. Dr. Martin Goldberg is the CEO and Founder of the company. His vision of ATOM is meant to assist people in problematic situations. ATOM means to make these people feel safe and secure enough in dynamic and unfamiliar areas to go to them and be an integral part of the society they belong to.
ATOM
Project ATOM is a virtual companion system to enable blind and visually impaired (B/VI) individuals to navigate independently in public spaces. Created by Dr. Martin Goldberg of Tinski Tech, Inc., the project combines wearable tech, Internet-of-Things (IoT) modules, and edge computing. The system will help users deal with a major problem in getting from one location to another: getting lost and frustrated in the “final fifty feet” of a journey, where one must steer around lobbies, crowds, furniture, partitions, and hallways (known as the 4F problem).
Tinski Tech, in partnership with key partners, is developing a pilot program to test Project ATOM in several experimental sites. We will work with blind users to validate and refine the system, with the goal of producing a robust product for initial roll out in public institutions serving the B/VI community. The final product will be marketed to all public spaces, including schools, office buildings, tourist sites, and hospitals.
Martin Goldberg, Ph. D. – CEO and Founder
Martin has been in the computer science field for over 20 years. In the early 2000’s he completed a programming course to emphasize his talents earned through his academic experience. During the next decade, he perfected his skills working on various projects that demanded his ability to comprehend data formats, movement, and manipulation. Martin also designed and architected applications displaying his ability to gather and analyze requirements and meet the stakeholders’ expectations.
As the decade ended, Martin decided it was time to learn more; he enrolled at the City College of New York (CCNY) and completed his MS degree in 2012. Martin earned his Ph. D. through the CUNY Graduate Center in 2019.
